Although Samsung has not announced a release date yet on their Samsung Galaxy S6, a lot of rumors are going around regarding Samsung’s upcoming flagship product the Galaxy S6. Samsung’s Galaxy S5 has proven to be a big competitor in the market of flagship products among other brands and people expect the S6 to be even more innovative. Among the rumored improvements that the Galaxy S6 would be carrying is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit support. It will carry 8 cores that are based on 4 Cortex A57 cores which could give speeds of up to 2 GHz and 4 Cortex A53 cores. It would also carry a Qualcomm Adreno 430 GPU which could improve the efficiency by 25%-30% and could support 4k displays, OpenGL ES 3.1 and geometry shaders. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 can handle video recording at 1080 at 120 frames per second. The S6 would be the first phone in the Galaxy series that will be packed with an Octa-Core Exynos 8000 chip and would have 4GB of ram available for a smooth and ultrafast multitasking experience.
In terms of display, the S6 will have a 5.2inch screen packing a Quad HD with 1440 x 2560 resolution display. It is also rumored that Samsung will try to use flexible displays. In terms of the phone’s dimensions, it would be slightly larger compared to Samsung’s previous flagship the S5. Also, it is rumored that the material that would be used to build this phone would be graphene. It is believed that it would be patterned with the metal-like design as that of the Galaxy Alpha because of the critics negative reviews on the Galaxy S5’s plastic build quality.
On board storages of up to 128 are expected to be available for the S6. Whether or not there will be an available external SD card slot is still unclear because Google has modified the default permissions for reading and writing in the external SD Card on its most recent update the Android Kitkat 4.4 however, external SD card slots would still be useful for storing music, photos, and other files. By the time of the release of the Galaxy S6, people anticipate that it would already be running an Android 5.0 Operating System.
It is expected to have a 21 megapixel back camera with Ultra Pixel Sensor and achieve video recording at 8k resolution. Samsung Dual Shot will surely be available along with HDR functionality. Its front camera would probably around 5MP to allow front camera taken pictures and video chatting to be crisp, smooth and vivid.
